Lindsey Boney

Lindsey serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Truland Homes and is responsible for all finance and accounting functions including financial reporting, budgeting, cash forecasting, balance sheet management, lender relationships, and risk management.

Upon graduation from Auburn in 1973, he began a 22 year career with the national accounting firm which is now Deloitte.  He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1975 and was admitted to the partnership in 1985.  In 2001 Lindsey became CFO of The Mitchell Company which, at the time, was one of the largest homebuilders and real estate developers in the Mobile and Pensacola markets. In 2005 and 2006, The Mitchell Company was included in the Top 100 Builders in a list compiled by Builder Magazine.

Prior to joining Truland Homes Lindsey was a Principal with Smith, Dukes & Buckalew, LLP where his focus was on non-traditional services such as litigation support, business valuation, forensic accounting, consulting and interim CFO assignments.  He earned his Certified Fraud Examiner designation in 2010 and became a Certified Valuation Analyst in 2012.

Lindsey has held a number of leadership positions with local civic and community organizations and currently serves as an advisory board member and chairman of the finance committee of Prodisee Pantry. He is also a deacon and choir member at Eastern Shore Baptist Church.  He and his wife Susan, both natives of Choctaw County, have been married for 45 years.  They have two sons and seven grandchildren.  In his free time Lindsey enjoys carpentry and home improvement projects and spending time in Choctaw County hunting, fishing and remodeling his childhood home.
