Fairhope to Expand With New Firethorne Subdivision
Fairhope’s city motto, “You’ve arrived,” rings true for those who plan to purchase a new home in this lovely town.
Named the second best small town in the south by Southern Living magazine, Fairhope will soon be home to a beautiful new neighborhood. Local investors paid $2.37 million for 126 acres in Fairhope and plan to develop Firethorne, a 227-lot subdivision that will be located next to Quail Creek Golf Course. Homes will be priced from $300,000, and amenities will include a clubhouse, pool and ponds. The first 79 lots will be ready in the spring of 2015.
The rapidly developing area will offer a wide assortment of restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues nearby.
Fairhope, situated on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay, attracts travelers from all over. This charming town is a treasure chest waiting to be discovered by those looking for adventure and relaxation. Visitors and residents alike love to stroll and linger on the Mobile Bay waterfront. They enjoy the local rivers, sugar-sand beaches provided by the Gulf of Mexico and the hundreds of other sights in Lower Alabama.
Fairhope was originally founded by a group of hardy souls seeking adventure and, being practical, also wanted a “fair hope of success.” The experimental community grew and, more than one hundred years later, boasts spacious parks, gorgeous tree-lined neighborhoods and a thriving downtown area.
With a population of nearly 13,000 people, Fairhope is a unique city that maintains a small town ambience. It has a very active arts community and offers terrific community services, great schools, and many wonderful things to see and do.
If you’re ready to buy a home in the new year, look no further.
